The
Alpine Region of Northeast Victoria is diverse
year round and recreational fishing is just
one of the enjoyable pastimes available in the
pristine waters of the northeast valleys of Victoria.
Clean, cool waters include
the Ovens, Kiewa & King Rivers, Lake Buffalo,
Rocky Valley Dam, Mt. Beauty pondage, Lake Guy
and the numerous tributaries that flow into these
major waters.
Fishing in the Alpine Region
is a truly awesome and gratifying pastime. Set
amongst a backdrop of rolling hills with mountains
capped in snow, Winter is glorious with
crisp, clear days and breathtaking beauty to behold.
Spring
gently melts the snows and fills our rivers with
fresh water, keeping the fish accommodated in
a clean aquatic environment.
Summer is a perfect
time for experiencing warm & sunny days alongside
the cool babble of a mountain stream as you await
the bite of that ever elusive fish.
Autumn is an array
of colours made more spectacular by the clear
blue skies and brilliant carpet of leaves that
surround our waterways.
At
this time of year the harvesting of grapes is
coming to an end in the valley, so there is plenty
of produce to sample together with your freshly
caught Trout, Cod or Redfin or even on their own.
We welcome you to the
Alpine Region of North East Victoria and are confident
you will enjoy your visit and look forward to
your next holidays so that you can return.
